Over the past few years NAB has been assisting the Senior
Citizens Homes in The Bahamas by providing Adult Diapers, clothing
and other  needed items.  Once again, NAB has adopted the Persis
Rogers Home for the Aged in Nassau.  This year their needs are :
 30 Twin size comforters
 15 pairs Window curtains

We are soliciting your help by donating as many of these items as
possible.  It would be appreciated if they can be brought in at the
Annual Christmas Party on December 12, which will allow us to ship
them before the Holidays.

Twin sized comforters can be purchased for approximately $15 and
window panels as low as $9.99 at stores such as JC Penney Outlet,
K-Mart, Wal Mart, Family Dollar or Big Lots.

If you are unable to purchase the items but are willing to donate,
please call Rosie Gomez at (954)888-1113, or Ruby Bradshaw at
(305)406-8697.  Thank you for your usual support.

Getting Ready to Board the Bus            Ready to Roll

What a wonderful time we had on Saturday, November 10th. At our
Second Dine & Dash Event. A total of 60 persons joined us for a
magical night of good food, laughter and fun. The night started out
with appetizers Rolf & Marina Hensche in Coral Gables where we
enjoyed Italian themed appetizers accompanied by music from
Andrea Bocelli.  We laughed our way for soup and salad at the
Crown Plaza Hotel in Kendall. Continuing on to the Village of
Pinecrest for the main course and entrée, we were blown away by
the ambiance and food at the home of Catherine and Sean
Grimberg.  The final destination, glorious desert and dancing to
good old Bahamian music, hosted by Bill & Hilda James. Our official
DJ Sammy Thomson was in full form and had the crowd jumping until
midnight. We had a wonderful night and appreciate the generosity of
our host and hostesses.

January 2006
Dear Members and Friends,
We the Officers of the National Association of The Bahamas
would like to take this opportunity to
thank our members and friends of The Bahamas for your
support throughout 2005.
Thanks to your support, many of our goals were met.  Some
of our accomplishments are as follows:

     Purchased beds for hurricane victims in Abaco.

    Successful Scholarship Gala where four students
were each awarded $1000 scholarships.

    Successful Bahamas Night at the Winn Dixie
Hope Lodge where we provided dinner, games
and entertainment for the patients and
their caregivers. The home was also provided
with a DVD player, microwave oven and items for
the three kitchens.

    Assisted the Unity House Senior citizens facility with
bed pads and disposable diapers. They were also
recipients of the Christmas Cheer Gift giving this
year.

   After Hurricane Katrina, assisted three students to
relocate to Houston and Arkansas, as well as put
put up a Bahamian family who found themselves
homeless right here in Broward County.
These things could not have been accomplished without
your help and support. We encourage you to renew your
memberships.

NAB wants to take this opportunity to thank those who have
consistently supported us. We thank you from the bottom of our
hearts. We encourage the rest of you to join hands with us to
make a difference in South Florida

Those who are not yet members, we encourage you to
join.  Your dues are used to finance the mailing of our monthly
newsletter and maintaining our website.

Scholarship funds are derived from each of  you supporting the
fundraising events.  Together we can be
a success, together we can make a difference.

We have an exciting year planned for 2006 and look forward to
working with you to make this an
outstanding year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Rosamon Gomez
President
